Region Meeting - April 27th in Spring Hill 8pm 2012 Season near...The New Munich SilverStreaks upped their record with a 6-5 walk off win over Elrosa last Sunday. The Streaks will be hosting Richmond this Sunday, May 20th at 1:30pm.
New Munich fell behind 3-0 but rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the 3rd on 4 straight singles capped by a 2 run single by Darin Funk and an rbi single by Joe Stangler. Elrosa regained the lead in the 5th and once again New Munich rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th on a 2 out 2 run single by Todd Ostendorf. New Munich was able to get out of a 1st and 3rd no out jam in the top of 8th and then had the go ahead run gunned down at home in the bottom half after Nolan Anderson's second double tried to plate Craig Welle from first base. Chad Funk opened the bottom of the 9th with a walk followed by a single by Adam Stangler put runners on the corners. An intentional walk to Darin Funk was followed by a double play ground out which left the Streaks with runners on 2nd and 3rd with two outs. Another intentional walk to Joe Stangler set the stage for Karl Funk who fouled of a couple of two strike pitches before singling to right center for the game winner. Nick Stangler picked up the win in relief hurling 4 shutout innings in relief of Jim Thull. Nolan Anderson was 3-4, Adam Stangler was 3-5 and Joe Stangler and Karl Funk added 2 hits each.
